Availability figures are measured from four external probes in Oslo, Bergen, Stockholm and Amsterdam, and are not rounded up.

Planned maintenance on no-svg-1, Sunday 16 August, 02:00 to 04:00 CET. Rolling firmware update on the storage nodes. No expected interruption, but single-zone reads may see raised latency for a few minutes at a time.

28.07.2026release

Lifecycle dry-run

Lifecycle rules now accept a DryRun flag and return the keys the rule would have acted on, up to 10 000. Asked for by six customers, four of whom had already expired something they did not mean to.

11.07.2026incident

Raised error rate on no-svg-1, 41 minutes

Between 09:14 and 09:55 CET, roughly 12 % of requests to Stavanger returned 500. A metadata node ran out of file descriptors after a config change raised the connection limit without raising the matching ulimit. We shipped the change on a Friday afternoon, which was the real mistake. Availability credits were applied on 12 July without anyone needing to ask. Full write-up sent to affected customers.

02.07.2026release

Draupnir replication lag metric

Per-bucket replication lag is now exported on the metrics endpoint in seconds, so you can alert on it instead of polling object counts.

19.06.2026change

Sval retrieval window shortened

Archive restores now complete in four to twelve hours rather than six to twenty-four. No price change. The old figures are still what the SLA promises, so this is headroom rather than a new commitment.

30.05.2026release

Event notifications to AMQP

Object events can now be delivered to an AMQP 0-9-1 broker as well as an HTTPS endpoint. Dead-letter buckets are configured per destination rather than per bucket.

14.04.2026change

TLS 1.0 and 1.1 removed

Announced in January, removed in April. Two customers were still on 1.1 and both had migrated by the deadline. Signature version 2 was removed at the same time.

03.03.2026incident

Trondheim restore queue stalled, 6 hours

Restores requested between 22:10 on 2 March and 04:30 on 3 March were queued but not started. Storage and reads were unaffected. A queue consumer had been left drained after the February maintenance and our alerting only checked queue depth, not consumer count. Both are now alerted on.

20.01.2026release

Berg class in no-svg-1

NVMe-backed storage is now available in Stavanger as well as Oslo. Trondheim will not get it; the site is built for archive and the economics do not work.

Older entries are kept in the same log rather than pruned. If you want the machine-readable version, there is an Atom feed at /changelog.atom and a JSON status endpoint at /status.json.
